The Science: Based on the AREDS2 Clinical Study

  • MacuSee was formulated to align with the scientific findings of AREDS2, a landmark clinical study identifying specific nutrients that support macular and retinal health. Each tablet contains carefully balanced nutrients that work together to help maintain healthy vision:

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) — 250 mg

  • Vitamin C is an essential antioxidant that helps strengthen the eye’s delicate blood vessels and defend against oxidative damage. It supports the health of the lens and retina, helping your eyes cope with everyday environmental stressors such as UV light and pollution.

dl-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) — 200 IU

  • Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that helps protect the sensitive cells of the retina from free-radical damage. It supports long-term eye health by maintaining cell-membrane integrity and complements the action of lutein and zeaxanthin for overall visual protection.

Lutein — 5 mg

  • Lutein is a powerful antioxidant naturally concentrated in the macula—the part of the eye responsible for sharp, central vision. It acts like “internal sunglasses,” filtering harmful blue light and supporting visual clarity. Regular intake helps maintain healthy macular pigment and crisp, detailed vision.

Zeaxanthin — 1 mg

  • Working in harmony with lutein, zeaxanthin helps protect the retina from oxidative stress and light-induced damage. It supports contrast sensitivity and colour perception, helping your eyes stay sharp and resilient, even under intense light exposure.

Zinc — 12.5 mg

Copper — 1 mg

  • Copper is included to maintain mineral balance and support antioxidant-enzyme activity. It works synergistically with zinc to protect the retina and preserve connective-tissue strength within the eye’s structure.
